Privacy Policy
Aether Games · Last updated 15 September 2026
Aether Games ("the app", "we", "us") is an ad-free collection of puzzle games.
This policy explains what data the app collects, why, and the choices you have.
We do not show ads, and we do not sell your personal data.
Who we are
The app is developed by Jeremy Guinn. If you have any questions about this policy
or your data, contact us at games@aethercontent.dev.
Data we collect
-
Account information (only if you sign in). Signing in is optional
and done with Google. If you sign in, we receive your email address, display name,
and a Google account identifier through Firebase Authentication, so your progress can
sync to your account. You can use the app fully without signing in.
-
Game and app data. Your puzzle progress, statistics, preferences,
and profile (avatar, frame, display name). This is stored on your device. If you are
signed in, it is also synced to your account using Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore)
so it is available across your devices.
-
Usage and diagnostics (optional — you can turn this off). When enabled,
the app uses Google Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics to understand how the games are
used and to diagnose crashes. This may include events such as which games you open and
complete, your difficulty selections, times, your device model, operating-system and app
version, a coarse (country-level) region, and a randomly generated app-instance identifier;
and, on a crash, a diagnostic report about the app's state. You can disable all of this at
any time in Settings → Privacy → "Share usage & crash reports".
-
Feedback. If you send feedback through the app, we receive the message
you write (and, if you are signed in, your account email so we can follow up).
How we use data
- To run the games and save your progress on your device.
- To sync your progress, stats, and settings to your account across devices (if signed in).
- To understand usage and improve the app, and to fix crashes and bugs (if you have not opted out).
- To respond to feedback you send us.
Service providers
We use Google Firebase (Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Analytics, and Crashlytics) to provide
sign-in, cloud sync, analytics, and crash reporting. Data is processed on Google's infrastructure
subject to Google's privacy policy, available at
policies.google.com/privacy. We do not share your
personal data with any other third parties, and we do not use it for advertising.
Your choices and rights
- Turn off analytics and crash reporting at any time in Settings → Privacy.
- Play without an account — sign-in is entirely optional.
- Delete your data. Settings → "Delete data" removes your saved games and profile
from the device and, if you are signed in, from the cloud. You may also sign out at any time.
See Delete Your Data for full instructions, including how to
request deletion if you no longer have the app installed.
- Access or deletion requests. You can contact us at
games@aethercontent.dev to request access to, or deletion of, data
associated with your account.
Data retention
Data synced to your account is kept until you delete it (via "Delete data") or ask us to remove it.
Data stored only on your device is removed when you clear it or uninstall the app. Aggregated,
non-identifying analytics may be retained by Firebase per Google's retention settings.
Children
Aether Games is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not
knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us
personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Security & international processing
We rely on Google Firebase's security controls to protect data in transit and at rest, and access to
your synced data is restricted to your own account. Data may be processed on servers located in the
United States and other countries where Google operates.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the
"Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, within the app.
